1. How does catch-all or wildcard email forwarding work?
With domain administration (PD-Admin), you can create a forwarding protocol with the namedefault“ All emails to your domain without special forwarding or a POP3 account will be sent to the specified destination address.
2. In which directory do I put my CGI scripts?
In principle, it doesn't matter where the scripts are. However, the following method is proven:
Create a directory named cgi-bin and copy your scripts into it. Remember that the scripts require execution rights.
Use the chmod 755 filename.
3. Which FTP server name do I enter to upload pages?
If you have registered the domain domain.de and want to upload pages there, you must connect to the FTP server www.domain.de and then switch to the subdirectory www.domain.de.
4. How do I configure my mailbox?
To enable sending and receiving emails via your domain, configure your mail program accordingly. Please use SMTP authentication. The following settings are required for this:

5. In which directory is Perl located?
Perl can be found under / usr / bin / perl.
6. In which path is Sendmail located?
Sendmail is here: /usr/sbin/sendmail under.
7. Where can I find my statistics?
Your statistics are in the subdirectory usage2 and awstats. Your statistics can be accessed at www.domain.de/usage2 or www.domain.de/awstarts/.
Both directories are password-protected by default. You can change or remove the password protection in PD-Admin or via FTP.
8. Where is my WWW directory?
You have the domain domain.de and username xyz. Your WWW directory is in /home/xyz/www.domain.de.
9. How can I access the MySQL database?
You have received additional access data for your database.
Please log in to https://ssl.bam-service.de/phpMyAdmin This is where you can change settings and create backups.
The connection is encrypted with 256bit.
10. Do you offer spam and virus protection?
Yes, all mail servers are equipped with the ClamAV antivirus and SpamAssassin spam filter. Virus-infected emails are generally discarded. You can switch the spam filter on and off from the BAM-Service administration interface.
